Delete Your Hex Color Codes Account
You can permanently delete your Hex Color Codes account and its associated cloud data directly in the app. The app shows you what will be removed before anything is deleted. If you can’t open the app, you can request deletion by email instead.
Opens a pre-filled email to support@altheagroup.net. Use this if you can’t delete from the app. See "Request deletion without the app" below for what to include.
Delete from the app
In Hex Color Codes 4.0, signed-in users and Guest users can delete their account from inside the app:
- Open Hex Color Codes.
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to Danger Zone.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Open Review & Delete and check the account and what will be deleted, including your saved colors and the palettes you have published.
- Tap the Delete Account button (Delete Guest Account for a Guest).
- Confirm with Delete Everything.
Nothing is deleted just by opening Review & Delete. The app warns that deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, and you must explicitly confirm. The confirmation stays unavailable until the app has finished loading what will be removed.
What is deleted
When you confirm, Hex Color Codes permanently deletes:
- Your Hex Color Codes account.
- All saved colors that belong to your account, including which of them you marked as favorites.
- Every palette you published. Published palettes are deleted entirely. They no longer appear in Discover and are not kept anonymously.
- Your profile and other account data that Hex Color Codes uses for the community features.
The app also clears the drafts and temporary data it kept on this device for the deleted account. Settings that apply to the whole device, such as light or dark appearance and the palette animation setting, stay as they are. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account or your cloud data; use Delete Account for that.
What is not deleted
Remove Ads is separate from your Hex Color Codes account. It belongs to your Apple App Store account on iPhone and iPad, or your Google Play account on Android. Deleting your Hex Color Codes account does not cancel it and does not refund it. If your store account still owns Remove Ads, it can be restored afterwards according to the store’s own rules. Purchase history is managed by Apple or Google.
What to expect
- You need a connection. The app checks with our servers before it starts, so deletion can’t begin offline. If it can’t safely start, for example because you’re offline, some changes haven’t finished syncing, or the sign-in check fails, nothing is deleted and the app tells you so.
- Signing in again. Depending on how recently you signed in, accounts that use email and password, Google or Facebook may be asked to sign in again. Guest accounts are not.
- Sign in with Apple. If you signed in with Apple, the app asks for a fresh Apple authorization and revokes Hex Color Codes’ Apple access as part of deletion. If that step fails, deletion does not go ahead.
- It may take a little while. Once deletion has started, it is designed to keep going until it finishes, even if you close the app.
- You’re signed out. When deletion is complete, the deleted account is signed out on that device.
Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have access to the app or your device, you can request account deletion from this website. Use the Request Account Deletion button above, or email support@altheagroup.net with the subject "Hex Color Codes Account Deletion Request."
To help us verify your account, please include:
- The email address associated with your Hex Color Codes account, if applicable.
- The sign-in method you used: email/password, Google, Facebook, Sign in with Apple, or Guest.
- Any other non-secret information that reasonably helps us identify your account.
Guest accounts
If you used Hex Color Codes as a Guest and no longer have access to the app or device, there may be no identifying account information available that would allow us to locate that Guest account. You’re still welcome to contact support for assistance.
Timing and verification
Email requests are processed once we can reasonably verify account ownership. We may contact you for additional verification. Once completed, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
