TankBeats is currently in development and has not yet been released on the App Store or Google Play. This page describes how TankBeats is designed to work and how to reach us — details may change before release.
In development: the steps and behavior described below reflect our current design intent for TankBeats, not a shipped release. They may change before TankBeats becomes publicly available.
Getting Started
Once TankBeats is available, getting started is expected to work roughly like this:
- Create your aquarium.
- Choose an aquarium type — Freshwater, Planted, Marine, or Reef.
- Configure the parameters relevant to your setup.
- Record a water test when you're ready.
- Save your readings.
- Review your aquarium's history.
Water Testing
TankBeats is designed around the idea of a test session — one testing event where you can record one or more parameter readings at once. Parameters you don't enter for a given session are simply left out rather than recorded as zero, and saved readings are intended to appear in that aquarium's history for later review.

Do I need an account?
TankBeats is not currently designed to require creating an account to start tracking an aquarium. If account-based features are introduced later, this page and the
Privacy Policy will be updated.
Can I use TankBeats offline?
TankBeats is designed around local-first tracking, so recording and reviewing your aquarium data is not expected to depend on a continuous internet connection.
Where is my aquarium data stored?
Aquarium data you enter is intended to be stored locally on your device. This page and the
Privacy Policy will be updated if cloud storage becomes available.
What happens if I reinstall the app?
Because TankBeats is designed around local, on-device storage, reinstalling the app or switching devices is expected to start you with a new, empty set of aquariums unless a backup or sync feature is available and enabled at the time. TankBeats does not currently promise automatic data recovery — we recommend keeping your own notes or export of important readings until any backup/sync capability is confirmed.
Can I track more than one aquarium?
Multiple-aquarium support is part of TankBeats' planned design, but availability at launch has not been confirmed. Check back here as release details are finalized.
Does TankBeats tell me what I should dose?
No. TankBeats is not designed to prescribe treatments or dosing instructions. It is built to help you record and review your own readings and history — decisions about dosing or treatment remain yours to make, ideally with guidance from care sheets, product manufacturers, or a professional where appropriate.
Are target ranges shown in TankBeats a guarantee?
No. Any target ranges or reference information shown in TankBeats are general, informational reference points — not guarantees of aquarium health or outcomes.
